CMS Hack

I turned in my final deliverables to my Google site. I'll also check iLearn, but I didn't see an upload link yesterday. Also, I'm happy to note that I got my Image page working. It's not what I wanted but it's pretty close.

Could you check it tomorrow. I finished the site, but during class I think I realized how to solve a problem I had with the Image page. I think I can fix it tonight.

Started creating slideshow for Images page. Luckily, I had an exercise in DAI 327 where we had to do something similar except with objects not pics. I'm assuming all I have to do is upload the swf to the site. Hopefully, it won't be too big. Otherwise, it's gonna cost me $$$ to get more space. I'm only using about 15-20 images, so I don't think it will take up all my upload capacity.

CMS Hack

Haven't been able to work on my site much. I've been too busy working on my book and Xpress. I plan to work on it this weekend, though. I want to create a slideshow for my images in Flash. I need to research how to do this.

Uploaded my custom banner to my Wordpress site. Like the banner. Not crazy about the color of the background. Really wish I could customize CSS without having to pay $20.

Finished my banner. Not sure if I want to add text to it. Probably not. Would probably obscure images or be too cluttered. Besides, the name of the site is above the banner anyway. Although, I wish I could change the typeface. I also wish I could find the kind of typeface they use for comic books. (No, not Comic Sans!)

CMS Hack

I've decided to create a free Wordpress site instead of using a hosted one. I wanted to create one to upload, but I realized, because I have to share my computer with someone, that I wouldn't be able to devote all the time and effort necessary to make my site as good as possible. 

I'm not a big fan of the themes, though. Nothing really fits what I want to do. It would be o.k. if I could change the typeface, but, in order to do that, I would have to pay $20 to be able to customize the CSS and I don't want to do that. Also, the plug-ins I wanted to use aren't available with the free site. It just means I'll have to create the photo slideshow with Flash.
